So I read this paragraph with a giggle, actually. Yes, it's an amazing feat...but it's also the resolution of a weird game of musical kidneys...
The transplants conducted Saturday were made possible when a so-called altruistic donor, who was willing to donate to anyone, was found to be a match for one of five transplant candidates, each of whom had a willing but incompatible donor. That enabled a chain of donations involving the six donors and six recipients from a waiting list maintained by the United Network for Organ Sharing.
It's a lot less painful to play musical chairs (or kidneys) if there's one for everybody.

This food recall is really not likely to affect most of us.
WASHINGTON, April 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall of approximately 406,000 pounds of frozen cattle heads due to a health hazard.

The FSIS said Elkhorn Valley Packing of Harper, Kan., is voluntarily recalling the frozen cattle heads because the animals' tonsils were not completely removed, in violation of federal regulations.

It's just struck me that there's no rule that says you can't go to bed before 10 p.m.

G'night, everybody. :-)
