The stupidity of spammers

Are spammers pounding my LiveJournal with comment spam in the (vain) hope that I will leave the comments there, and they will later be indexed by some search engine or other?

Because (1) it won't work; (2) the search engines mostly ignore me; and (3) I delete them as soon as they get posted.

And seriously? Y'all can't spell fer diddly.
