Future perfect: a painting by Hannes Bok

I just saw the picture below while surfing on the life and works of Hannes Bok. So...my question: how did he paint Hillary Clinton when he died many years before she became prominent? (Yeah, yeah...he *said* it was Jane Eyre. But look at that face!) Apparently the painting sold for €746.91 in October of last year. I wonder if Bill bought it?
