Shedding a little light on things
Aug. 21st, 2010 09:54 amWe need new outdoor lights. The old post lights and lights on the house have deteriorated substantially, because they were the most basic of carriage lights (and were not solid brass), so the time has come.
Do you know how many types of outdoor lights there are? Bazillions. We sat here last weekend, looking at them together online. And we picked out some really cool, funky ones. We were content with those, but you don't order something like that (we were not looking at cheap lighting fixtures) without thinking it over. We decided to wait a few days.
Then our friend Peter Olson made a silly comment on Facebook, which led to me finding the ones we ordered today.

The pole lights feature a trio of gargoyles back to back at the top. :-) And then we'll finally install the brass dragon door knocker. Because it has to be done.
