Okay, it is cold.

It's 10°F out there. That's -12°C.

But when I realize how cold it is out there (we're having quite the frigid snap, due to end this afternoon and bring us higher-than-average temps over the weekend), I realize it's still colder on Mount Washington.

The Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire has the worst weather on earth. No...not just the worst weather in New Hampshire or New England or the continental U.S. -- it literally has the worst weather on earth. The highest winds ever recorded anywhere were recorded there. The coldest temps.

Today, Mount Washington looks like this:
Current Conditions: 9:30 AM, Fri.
Temperature 0.5°F
Wind 63.6 mph
Direction 296° (NW)
Gust 66.7 mph
Wind Chill -33.0°F
Kinda puts our whinging in perspective, doesn't it? I mean, it's not even a particularly cold or windy day up there.
