Unfortunately, my parents almost fell for a mail phishing scheme last week because the writers were literate and *very* good. There were just a couple of little red flags in the letter that caused me to do a Google search. It didn't take me five minutes to uncover seriously bad info on the company that actually sent the letter. They used a major Fortune 500 company letterhead and purported to be writing on their behalf, but they gave a c/o address as a return address. That can't be good. Fortunately, I was able to convince Daddy that it was a scam.
