the only way to deal with this is to put some stew on the stove, some bread in the oven, pile up some good books or other media to entertain you, and refuse to leave the nice warm cozy house until Monday.
Yea, soups/stews are good way to deal with it. But, there is the issue of snow-clearing. We, luckily, have only about a half inch of snow, so the streets are only a little wet.
