Apparently, the federal Department of Justice is not concerned about the issues in Oakland, California's crackdown on "Occupy" protestors. As Wired points out:
When Egypt teargassed and beat protestors in Tahrir Square, the world, including the Obama administration, howled in outrage.

But when police did the same to Americans in Oakland’s Frank Ogawa Plaza, the Obama administration said nothing.
But since it's good old *American* tear gas...and good old *American* police brutality, it's not something to get upset about, right?

I lived ~45 miles from Kent State then...and had friends whose older siblings went to college at KSU. It was...hard.
