Writers' strike and me
Jan. 5th, 2008 08:20 amOutpost Mâvarin has taken over the "homework assignments" that John Scalzi used to apparently give to bloggers over the weekends. I found the first one interesting:
This does not mean I'm not sympathetic to the writers -- they have my deep sympathies, and I think their employers are greedy bastards. It's just that the strike doesn't have much of an impact on me personaly.
Weekend Assignment #197: Now that the WGA [Writers Guild of America] strike has had lots of time to affect the prime time television schedules, how is it affecting you as a viewer?I hate to admit to being a complete pop culture moron...but the writers' strike has not affected me at all, really. Jeopardy goes on; there's been a lot of weather(!) and news; and football doesn't rely on writers so much (but might benefit from some better scripts).
